Life With My Eating Disorder
By: Sarah Choy | Apr 26, 2019
I’ve had an eating disorder for most of my adult life. I know a lot of secret eaters like me, who have struggled with feeling in control of their food.
I have binge eating disorder. With George’s help as my accountability partner, I’ve had it under control for the last two years. I avoid all sugar and flour, as they are my triggers.
George travelled for 9 days in the over the last 2 weeks, and the isolation resurrected old conditioning, causing a relapse. It wasn’t his fault, as I booked him onto those trips in order to progress our businesses. This led to me eating a lot of food including one of my children’s vegan Easter eggs — this was before Easter day.
I talk about what has helped me in the past, and what we are planning to do to prevent this happening again.
If you have an eating disorder (or you provide support to someone who has one), then please let me know what top tips you have to regain control in the Comments box below.
